Departure to Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you can obtain your Nepal visa directly at the airport. At the only exit, our representative will be waiting for you. Enjoy a traditional welcome with a garland and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, you will explore Asan and Indrachok, the local markets known for selling clothes and vegetables. This fascinating area in the heart of Kathmandu combines ceremonial, market, and residential spaces. Right next to the market is the beautiful and popular Tibetan pilgrim stupa from the 17th century, known as “Kathesimbu Stupa.”
In the afternoon, you will visit the Swayambhunath Monkey Temple and enjoy the stunning views over the Kathmandu Valley and the surrounding hills. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, you will drive through beautiful villages and rice fields towards central Nepal, an area still largely unexplored by tourists. A short tea break in Bhakundebesi, a bustling little bazaar for local shopping, offers you a first glimpse of daily life in Nepalese villages.
The drive along streams and the Sunkoshi River, which flows from Tibet, provides breathtaking views of the mountains and is truly exhilarating. The landscape, with its numerous green hills and charming settlements, makes the journey very pleasant. Overnight stay at a riverside hotel.
Continue your journey toward Sindhuli, with the mighty Sunkoshi River as your constant companion. Later, the Sunkoshi River merges with another Himalayan river, the Dudhkoshi, making the drive even more interesting. Enjoy the stunning natural scenery along the way.
The drive through the Sindhuligadhi viewpoint to Sindhuli offers magnificent views of the wide valleys. Sindhuli itself is a historic fortress in central Nepal, famous for the battle between the Gorkha army and the British troops led by Captain Kinloch. After another hour of driving, you will reach today’s destination. Overnight stay at a hotel in Janakpur, a small border town near India.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will explore Janakpur, a center for religious and cultural tourism founded in the early 18th century. The city is home to more than 70 Hindu temples, the most important being the majestic Janaki Mandir, a rare example of Koiri architecture. Janakpur is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites for Hindus.
However, Janakpur is not just about temples and monuments. Located in the heart of the Terai region, the city boasts a rich cultural history and is renowned for its art, language, and literature. Janakpur is the heartland of the Mithila civilization, a melting pot of various cultures, religions, and traditions.
You will also visit the old steam-powered railway, the only one of its kind, built by the British to transport timber from the heavily forested areas of Janakpur to India. Overnight stay at a hotel in Bardibas.
After breakfast, you will take a 30-minute ride on a local bus with the locals to experience how the transportation system in Nepal works. As you continue, you will drive through dense forests and observe hundreds of monkeys on both sides of the road.
Eventually, you will reach Chitwan National Park, passing through several settlements of different ethnic groups and local markets along the way. Upon arrival at your lodge, you will embark on a walking tour along the Rapti River to explore the national park. On your way back, you will visit an elephant breeding center and get the chance to see baby elephants. Overnight stay at a Jungle Resort.
The Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a unique opportunity to observe one-horned rhinoceroses in their natural habitat. During a safari tour, you will also have the chance to spot elusive animals such as Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and monkeys.
Another highlight is a canoe trip on the Rapti River, where, with a bit of luck, you may encounter crocodiles, gharials, and various bird species. Additionally, a village tour will provide insight into the lifestyle of the Tharu community, who live in harmony with nature. Overnight stay at the Jungle Resort.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will drive for about 4 hours along the Narayani and Marsyangdi Rivers to Bandipur, a typical old village surrounded by beautiful landscapes and offering stunning views of the Himalayas.
In the afternoon, you will visit local homes and families in Bandipur. The residents here maintain a traditional lifestyle and practice age-old trading methods. Overnight stay at a hotel.
On this day, you will travel along the Seti Nadi River to Hemja, a small Tibetan village that feels like a paradise at the foot of the majestic Annapurna Himalaya range, near the White River.
In the evening, you will participate in a Pooja ceremony at the monastery and share dinner with the monks. You will also spend the night at the monastery. Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner.
Early in the morning, you will participate again in a monastic ceremony. There is also an option to join a meditation session.
After breakfast at the monastery, you will visit the local Tibetan market and the Family and Craft Center, where you will learn about the lifestyle of the people and Tibetan craftsmanship.
In the afternoon, you will drive to Pokhara, where your hotel is located in a scenic setting near Phewa Lake. Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner.

Early in the morning, you will drive half an hour to Sarangkot. Enjoy the sunrise over the mountains. Sarangkot offers a fantastic view of Phewa Lake and the Himalayas. Afterward, return to the hotel.
After breakfast, you will take an excursion to the Devi’s Falls and the Hindu Wedding Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.
In the morning, you will go on a boat ride on Phewa Lake, the second-largest lake in Nepal. Surrounded by mountains and beautiful rice fields, you will glide across the water. On the way to the other side of the lake, you will pass a Hindu temple built on a small island in the middle of the lake.
If you wish, you can take a one-hour walk to the World Peace Pagoda. Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner.

Today, you will drive along three different rivers on your way to Kathmandu. During the journey, you will find several small tea houses by the riverside, perfect for a tea or coffee break. This scenic drive is ideal for photographing landscapes, rivers, and villages.
