Itinerary
Departure to Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by your local German-speaking tour guide and transferred to your hotel. You will receive an explanation of the entire tour and important information. Afterwards, enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel.
In the morning, you will explore Kathmandu and visit ancient temples and palaces. You will visit several Hindu shrines, including the Temple of the Living Goddess, Taleju Temple, and the Shiva-Parvati Temple. In the afternoon, you will visit the Bodnath temple complex, known as “Little Tibet” of Nepal, featuring the famous stupa, which is the oldest and most significant Buddhist sanctuary. The constant hum of prayer wheels, monks circling the stupa, and the colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind create a unique atmosphere.

Activities of the Day: Historic old town with markets, temples, monasteries, and local people.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will drive to Devghat, enjoying beautiful views of the Manaslu Himal (8,156 m). You will follow the Trisuli River, which flows from Tibet through Nepal into India. A lunch break will be taken by the riverside before continuing along the Narayani River to Devghat, a sacred place for Hindus located on the banks of the holy river. This site is a center for festivals and ceremonies for both Nepalese and Indians.
In Devghat, you will visit a retirement home, offering you insight into the daily lives of elderly people in Nepal. You will also observe local life in the bazaar, where people from the Terai lowlands cook, clean, and sell goods on the streets. You may also try a small, typical local dish.

Activities of the Day: Visit to the pilgrimage site, scenic drive along the river, visit to a retirement home, suspension bridge.
After a farewell breakfast at the hotel, you will drive along the East-West Highway toward Western Nepal to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, who is recognized as the “Light of Asia.”
On the way, you will visit Saswat Dham, a pilgrimage center for Indians and Nepalese, where thousands of devotees perform ceremonies from early morning until late afternoon. A short visit to this sacred site, including a tea break, is recommended.
You will continue your journey through dense forests and small settlements until you reach Lumbini, which is widely known as the Buddhist capital of the world.

Activities of the Day: Visit to the Buddhist center, drive through the monkey forest and lowlands.
Today is a very special day for you and a true highlight of this tour. After breakfast, you will visit various monuments that reflect the life cycle of Buddha – including his birth, significant events, and Nirvana.
You will explore the Mayadevi Temple, the Ashoka Pillars, the Sacred Pond, and many other significant sites. You will also experience the grand ceremonies, where thousands of monks from around the world participate, predominantly led by Tibetan monks.

Activities of the Day: Visit the birthplace of Buddha, rickshaw and tuk-tuk ride, and explore numerous temples, pagodas, and monasteries from around the world.
After breakfast, you will drive through dense forests to reach Chitwan National Park in the afternoon. Upon checking into your lodge, you will begin your first exploration tour of the park on foot along the Rapti River.
On the way back, you will visit an elephant breeding center and see baby elephants.

The UNESCO World Heritage-listed Chitwan National Park offers the opportunity to observe the seemingly clumsy rhinoceroses. During a guided walk, you have the best chance to spot shy animals such as Royal Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, or monkeys up close.
Another highlight is a canoe safari on the Rapti and Young Rapti Rivers, where, with a bit of luck, you may spot crocodiles, gharial crocodiles, and various bird species.
During a village tour, you will gain insight into the lifestyle of the Tharu people, who live in harmony with nature.

Activities of the Day: Canoe safari, spotting crocodiles, rhinoceroses, monkeys, and birds, and in the evening, enjoy a traditional Tharu folklore dance.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will drive along the Marsyangdi River toward Western Nepal. The journey offers breathtaking landscapes with rice fields, rivers, numerous hills, and spectacular views of the Annapurna mountain range.
You will continue along the Seti River to Hemja, a small Tibetan refugee settlement. This village is a hidden paradise at the foot of the massive Annapurna Himalaya range, near the White River.
In Hemja, you will visit a small Tibetan market and a Tibetan handicraft center. In the evening, you will participate in a Pooja ceremony at the monastery and enjoy dinner with the monks.

Activities of the Day: Drive through rice fields to the monastery, participate in a ceremony, and dine with the monks.

After a farewell breakfast with the monks, you will continue your journey to the picturesque Pokhara Valley. The beautiful Phewa, Begnas, and Rupa Lakes originate from the Annapurna glacier massif, giving the valley its unique charm.
Pokhara is Nepal’s third-largest city and serves as a hub for many trekking tours and expeditions to the towering Himalayan peaks. Located at an altitude of about 900 meters, Pokhara enjoys a subtropical climate. From the southern outskirts, hotel rooftops, and surrounding hills, you can admire a spectacular view of the Himalayan range, including three of the world’s eight-thousanders.
Dinner & overnight stay at Hotel White Pearl (or similar)
Activities of the Day: Early morning yoga and meditation, followed by breakfast. Later, drive through a Tibetan village and handicraft center to Pokhara, known as Nepal’s most beautiful mountain city.

Today, you will depart early for Sarangkot to enjoy the sunrise over the mountains. From here, you will have a breathtaking view of Phewa Lake and the Himalayan range.
After breakfast, you will make a photo stop at the Devi’s Falls and then continue to a Hindu wedding temple.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Phewa Lake, Nepal’s second-largest lake, with a panoramic view of the Himalayan mountains. Surrounded by mountains and beautiful rice fields, you will glide across the water. On the way to the other side of the lake, you will pass by a Hindu temple located on a small island in the middle of the lake.

The day is at your leisure. A walk along the lake is very pleasant. Stroll through the colorful shops in the tourist district or enjoy the lake view from one of the cafés along the shore.
In the afternoon, we will go shopping with locals, purchasing rice, lentils, vegetables, and spices from the street market. In the evening, we will organize a cooking class where you will prepare and enjoy traditional Nepali dishes with a local family.

Today, you will drive back to Kathmandu, following three different Himalayan rivers. The beautiful landscape with lush green hills and traditional farmhouses makes the journey very pleasant.
Along the way, you will take a short break at a small teahouse by the riverbank, cross the river via a suspension bridge, and enjoy a gentle, 30-minute walk through a small village and rice fields. Afterward, you will continue your drive to Kathmandu.
In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant.
